SHELTER FROM THE STREETS

Shelter From The Streets

Program Format:

For the past 27 years, Shelter from the Streets has been serving homeless shelters in the five boroughs of New York City. Annually, we go into shelters, train stations, bus stations, and under bridges, to provide support to the underserved. Our mission is to collect donations of new toiletries, holiday gifts, toys, blankets, coats, hats, gloves, books, and school supplies for the homeless, children, and those who have experienced domestic violence. We serve the community for two straight weeks in a private and dignified manner, bringing warmth and comfort to those in need.

Objectives:

Shelter from the Streets is a campaign that provides new clothing, books, and personal items to low-income families, the homeless, and families in shelters. Our focus is on those who are facing financial challenges and experiencing homelessness, including families who are seeking shelter. Through our efforts, we strive to provide essential items and support to these demographics, helping them to improve their circumstances and create a brighter future.

Current Metrics:

Shelter from the Streets currently serves 5-7 shelters within the five boroughs of New York City, as well as select shelters in New Jersey and Connecticut.

We are grateful for the support of our sponsors, Bombas and Walmart. Their contributions are a true testament to their generosity and commitment to making a positive impact in the community. Furthermore, we would like to extend a warm welcome to any other potential sponsors or partners who share our vision.
