AVIATION & TECH BOOT CAMP
dedicated to serving the lost, lonely, and forgotten in our communities.
AVIATION & TECH BOOT CAMP
Program Format:
Our program is a three-day camp designed to introduce underserved youth to the field of aviation as well as spur their ability to imagine an engaging professional life. This program is for youth that typically have limited access to experiential forms of education and may not be able to imagine their own ability to become future leaders, both within aviation and their community. The camp includes an airport tour, classroom instruction, and an introductory flight in a small aircraft.
Objectives:
Our objective is to address the growing need for qualified pilots in the aviation industry by providing exposure to the field of aviation and mentoring underserved youth to become airline pilots. By doing so, we hope to help close the pilot shortage gap while also providing new opportunities for underserved communities.
Current Metrics:
Each cohort of the Aviation & Tech Boot Camp consists of 15 students. Over the past years, the program has successfully trained and mentored 15 students, all of those students are highly motivated for a career in aviation.
